At the Hall Blvd Learning Tree in Tigard, we provide a safe, supportive learning environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old.

We encourage children to learn the fundamentals of Social/Emotional Development, early learning skills, and creative activities through play. As professional educators, our teachers emphasize on the growth of the individual child.

Our teachers focus on Social/Emotional development by identifying their own feelings, understanding the emotional state of others, examining what empathy looks like and teaching it, engaging in social interactions, using conflict resolution, and understanding how to properly react to various social situations.

Our goal is that they take away from their experience here at the Learning Tree a sense of security, trust, independence and self-confidence.

Our Principles

Play is an essential part of learning.

It is the lifeblood of the learning process.

As children play they are developing the cognitive, socio-emotional and physical skills they will need to take them into a successful adulthood.

They are developing their curiosity, problem solving, intentionality, flexibility, and verbal and non-verbal skills.

Socio-emotionally they are developing their emotional intelligence -learning confidence, cooperation, negotiation, sharing, empathy, and how to communicate appropriately.

Physically their fine motor and gross motor skills are being practiced and developed.

- It’s not “just play” they are skills for life
